Catfish
are still producing the most action for our guests but it has slowed
down just a bit. The top baits are still cut bait and nightcrawlers,
most cats are weighing in at 2 to 4 pounds with an occasional 6 to 8 pounder.
The
bass fishing has
slowed down considerably off our docks. Of the few people targeting
them, some are managing 2 or 3 nice ones for their efforts while
others are not so successful. Drop shot and live minnows are still
the baits of choice.
Some of our boating guests
are catching limits of nice bass
at various areas around the lake.
Although it's still considered sporadic at
best, the crappie
fishing has actually picked up a bit
this week. Several of our guests are catching 2 to 3 large crappie
for a short evening's effort using minnows and split tail crappie jigs.
Tight lines everyone
